Our treatments

done Fungal Nail Infection: Onychomycosis

We can assist with both the treatment and advice of these problematic nails. Fungal nail infections can be difficult to manage as some can be thick, crumbly and difficult to cut, but with professional diagnosis and advice this can be resolved. If left without treatment fungal nails can affect skin which can lead to breaks in the skin, itchy, dryness and can become uncomfortable to walk on.

done Medical Pedicure/Manicure

This is a unique treatment provided by Stance podiatry. A medical pedicure is a full podiatry treatment with the addition of a gel or biab polish and can also include hands in addition. If you want a full pamper and MOT you can also indulge into our full package and have a hand a lower leg exfoliation with Paraffin wax treatment included.

done Corns & Callus

Corns and callus are a common issue that can occur for many reasons from footwear, foot shape or general wear and tear on feet. Both corns and callus can be very painful and can prevent everyday activies from being achievable. Professional treatment of these issues can assist with helping prevent pain but also reoccurance. Both corns and callus can ve removed within the clinical setting allowing patient's to feel instant relief. At Stance podiatry we have the tools and equipment to provide bespoke wedges and insoles which may help with these issues and can complete both gait and footwear assessments to help provide a patient centred and individually tailored treatment plan.

done Verruca Treatment

We offer help and advice on how to manage verruca’s. Verrucas can occur for many different reasons and can be painful and unsightly. At Stance we can provide advice, treatment but also are able to provide treatments such as course's of treatment within the clinic using 60% salicylic acid if required and offloading padding to assit with pain management.

done Ingrown Toenails

At Stance Podiatry we can assess diagnose and manage ingrown toenails. We can assist with conservative management to prevent reoccurance and comfort to patient to keep pain and pressure away from the nail edges.

done Orthotics

Orthotics are in-shoe devices help to realign the foot and provide deflection/ cushioning to problem areas. These can be off the shelf devices that may require adaptions or may be custom made for you. A full assessment is completed to ensure the devices are appropriate and the best suited for your lifestyle.

done Foot & Heel Pain

We provide a full biomechanical assessment to help and advice on how to deal with problems such as plantar fasciitis. This assessment is tailored to your individual needs and can involve a full stretching program, padding and strapping and insoles if required.

done MSK/Biomechanical Sssessment

Podiatry biomechanics is the study of how the foot and lower limbs move, focusing on the forces, structure, and function of the musculoskeletal system to understand and treat pain or dysfunction, using assessments like gait analysis to diagnose issues (flat feet, shin splints, knee pain). Stance podiatry can prescribe treatments like custom orthotics, exercises, or footwear advice to improve posture, stability, and movement. Our specialist biomechanics and MSK (Musculoskeletal) specialists can complete your assessment and also provide you with a custom pair of insoles to help eliminate pain and stabilise feet. A custom treatment plan is put into place along to provide a unique tailored program which is individual to you and your lifestyle.

Diabetes is a condition that can impact the feet. Our podiatrist can help complete foot assessment both vascular and neurological and can assist with general care and maintenance. Stance podiatry can advise on appropriate diabetes friendly emollients and footcare advice to ensure that patients have the best knowledge and foot care possible..

We can advise on the best footwear for sports, schools and also to your individual foot type/ shape. done Parafin Wax Treatment

Are your feet painful, sore, tired? Here at Stance podiatry we offer a unique service which can be completed individually or can be added onto a treatment and tailored to you. Parrafin wax is proven to help with reducing joint pain and stiffness as well as relaxing muscles and helping with mobility. Parrafin also helps with the intense moisturization and hydration of skin, which soothes dry skin and exfoliate and rejuvenate dead skin cells.

done Nail Surgery

Some nails may require nail surgery. This may to be due to a painful ingrown toenail, a thick and damaged nail or a longstanding fungal nail that has not responded to treatments. The thought of this process can be daunting to patients but at Stance we ensure this process is stress free and provide the full package from assessment, surgery and aftercare. The surgery is completed under a local anaesthetic using a sterile technique so the nail can be removed in a swift and pain free way. Our trained podiatrist are with you every step of the way and are there to make the process tailored to you and your requirements. All appointments are included in the price and we provide you will all the information at the first appointment to allow you as patient to make a informed decision of what is appropriate for you. .

At Stance podiatry we cover all types of general care, from toenail cutting and maintenance. This may be to help aid mobility and help put bespoke treatment plans in place to assist with ensuring the best quality of life and foot health. Our highly trained podiatrist can help with diagnosing nail types and provide both vascular and neurological checks to monitor and also assess foot health.

Chiropodists and podiatrists deal with the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of the lower limb and foot.
There is no difference between a chiropodist or a podiatrist. Podiatrist is simply the term used for chiropodists in other English speaking countries outside the UK.
Please bring a full list of any medication you are currently taking. You will also need details of your GP and the surgery you attend. If you are wearing nail varnish, please remove it prior to your appointment.
Chiropody Assessment and Treatment sessions are 30 minutes.
MSK/Biomechanics are 45 minutes.
